The Pine Cones

Posted by on February 14, 2014

Since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by pine cones. For years I have collected all shapes and sizes.  ( not only “pine”, but “fir”, “cedar”, “redwood”, etc. ) They are displayed in my house, my yard, and even in my car. In fact, I had so many on the dash that I called them my “curve speed sensors”, as they would all sail off as I rounded a turn. I finally glued them onto a pad, and they stayed.!! I am so enchanted with their delicacy and strength. The subtle nuances of color are so like the colors in the leather that I use. You will find a pinecone on most of my items, either in a charm or a lining material, or somewhere. I’m just on the verge of creating a leather pine cone for my next purse – stay tuned.!!!
